We are excited to announce a few details about our upcoming trip in April of 2020 to Ambleside in the Lake District of England. We have secured a venue and our speakers are exceptional. More details will follow in the coming months.
Our schedule will be Monday, April 20-April 23, 2020. This will include both sessions and touring options.
Our Speakers include:
Karen Glass (Charlotte Mason principles and practices)
Leah Boden (Modern Miss Mason)
Angelina Stanford (On Literature)
Thomas Banks (Ruskin scholar and poet)
Cindy Rollins (Hostess and speaker)
Jeannette Tulis (Nature Study)
Our plan is to meet in the mornings and early afternoons for sessions while touring several specific sites in the afternoons.
Depending on interest, our price will range from $350-$400 for the conference and some tours.
We are working with a travel agent to see what we can do to make the airfare and lodging affordable.
If you are getting excited, as I am, you might want to check out a few of these links:
Homework: Start reading about John Ruskin and his influence on the Pre-Raphaelites. Read Karen Glass's books Consider This and Know and Tell.
Swallows and Amazons would also be a great family read-aloud to prepare for seeing the lakes.
More details coming soon.
